Calculate your monthly cost of living in Nha Trang and choose the right neighborhood
Nha Trang can be affordable if you rent a few streets away from the beach. A sea-view apartment, private workspace and regular restaurant meals will raise your monthly costs considerably.
Written by Tụi mình mê biểnUpdated
A single person can plan on roughly VND 10-13 million a month for a budget lifestyle, VND 16-22 million for a comfortable routine, or VND 27-38 million for a more spacious apartment and frequent paid services. These are planning estimates rather than official city averages, and they exclude the initial rental deposit and major one-off expenses. Start by setting your rent ceiling: it will have a greater effect on your monthly budget than most of your smaller daily purchases.
How much does it cost to live in Nha Trang per month?
Living in Nha Trang is quite different from spending a week at a beach hotel. You are no longer paying for airport transfers, island tours and restaurant meals every day.
Your regular expenses become rent, groceries, electricity, internet, transport, exercise, healthcare and the occasional meal out.
The following budgets are designed for one adult living in Nha Trang in 2026.
| Monthly expense | Budget | Mid-range | Comfortable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rent | 5.5 million | 8.5 million | 15 million |
| Food and groceries | 3.2 million | 4.5 million | 7 million |
| Electricity, water, building fees | 750,000 | 1.2 million | 1.8 million |
| Internet and phone | 350,000 | 400,000 | 500,000 |
| Transport | 550,000 | 1.1 million | 2.2 million |
| Gym and exercise | 300,000 | 550,000 | 1 million |
| Insurance and medical reserve | 350,000 | 1 million | 2 million |
| Personal spending and extras | 700,000 | 1.25 million | 2.5 million |
| Total | 11.7 million | 18.5 million | 32 million |
All figures are in VND per month. These are illustrative budgets, not surveyed household averages. The healthcare line is only a budgeting allowance.
The budget lifestyle works best for someone renting a small apartment, cooking regularly and avoiding expensive transport. Having access to a motorbike you already own, or living somewhere walkable, makes a difference.
The mid-range lifestyle gives you more room for a furnished one-bedroom apartment, local restaurants, coffee shops and a gym membership. It is a useful starting point for people who work remotely or spend much of the day at home.
The comfortable lifestyle allows for a larger or more desirable apartment, more restaurant meals, taxis and extra spending on health and leisure.
Two people sharing an apartment will not necessarily spend twice as much. Rent, internet and some household bills are shared. Food, individual insurance and personal spending still need separate allowances.
Families should prepare an additional budget for schooling, childcare and medical needs. International school fees, for example, can change the calculation entirely.
Foreign residents should also check the insurance figures carefully. A comprehensive international health plan may cost significantly more than the modest medical allowance in the budget column.
Long-term apartment rent in Nha Trang
Renting an apartment in Nha Trang is often cheaper than visitors expect, provided they do not insist on a central beachfront property.
The city has several distinct rental markets. There are simple rooms and studios in residential streets, furnished apartments in newer developments, and holiday-style towers overlooking the sea.
Crowdsourced averages put a one-bedroom apartment at approximately VND 10.5 million per month in the city center and VND 7.1 million outside it.
Actual asking rents vary from building to building.
Property listings show what landlords actually ask. In 2026, some small studios and mini apartments rent for approximately VND 3.5-6.5 million per month, while standard apartments and premium beachfront units occupy higher price ranges.

Monthly rents by area
| Area | Indicative monthly rent | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Tran Phu, Loc Tho and the tourist center | VND 7-18 million for many studios and one-bedroom units; premium units cost more | Walkability, restaurants, beach access |
| Vinh Phuoc, Vinh Hai and Vinh Hoa | VND 4.5-14 million depending on apartment type | North beach living and residential streets |
| Vinh Diem Trung, Phuoc Hai and Ha Quang | VND 5-13 million for many smaller apartments | Long-term routines and local services |
| Phuoc Long and southern residential areas | VND 6-16 million across smaller apartments and one-bedroom options | Residential living and newer developments |
| Premium beachfront apartments | VND 14-30 million or more | Sea views, larger layouts and building facilities |
These ranges combine 2026 rental listings with individual property examples. They are broad asking-price ranges and often overlap.
Several buildings are worth knowing before you begin your search.
Muong Thanh Vien Trieu, on Pham Van Dong Road in northern Nha Trang, had indicative listings around VND 4.5-7.5 million per month.
Scenia Bay, in the Vinh Hai area, appeared in a VND 7.5-14 million range.
Panorama Nha Trang, at 2 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, runs around VND 10-22 million.
The Costa Nha Trang, at 29-31 Tran Phu, occupied a higher range of approximately VND 14-32 million per month.
These figures describe listings within each development. They do not mean that every apartment has the same size, is currently available or qualifies for long-term residential use.
Some buildings contain units marketed for short-term holiday accommodation. Confirm the property's status and lease conditions before treating a unit as a year-round home.
Why the advertised rent is not the whole cost
Two apartments can both cost VND 8 million yet have different monthly totals.
One might include internet, water and building management. Another might charge separately for electricity, cleaning, motorbike parking and internet.
A slightly more expensive apartment with sensible service charges can be cheaper to live in over twelve months.
The best areas for living in Nha Trang long term
Loc Tho and central Nha Trang
Convenient for new arrivals

If you are moving to Nha Trang without knowing the city well, the central area is an easy place to begin.
Streets around Tran Phu, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Thien Thuat and Biet Thu provide access to restaurants, cafés, grocery shops and the beach.
For remote workers, this area makes it relatively simple to find places to work outside the apartment and restaurants serving a variety of cuisines.
You can also manage many daily errands on foot.
The trade-off is traffic, tourism and higher rents in popular locations. An apartment overlooking a busy restaurant street may be lively at 9 pm, even if it seems peaceful when you visit during the afternoon.
Check the bedroom windows, traffic noise and the building entrance. If possible, return between 8 and 10 pm before making a decision.
Central Nha Trang is particularly useful for your first month. You can move somewhere else for the following year.
Vinh Phuoc, Vinh Hai and Vinh Hoa
Beach access without the central location

Northern Nha Trang is a strong candidate for people who enjoy the coast but do not need to live beside the main tourist strip.
The stretch around Hon Chong and Pham Van Dong Road has apartment towers, residential buildings and smaller rental options in the streets behind the waterfront.
You can choose a high-rise near the sea or look farther inland for a more residential setting.
This is a practical area for people who want beach walks to remain part of everyday life.
However, do not judge every apartment solely by the distance to the water. Check where you will buy groceries, how far you are from a pharmacy and whether your building has convenient parking.
A sea-facing balcony is pleasant. A supermarket within a short walk may matter more after your first month.
Phuoc Hai, Vinh Diem Trung and Ha Quang
Better for ordinary daily routines

Photo: Đất Tuy Hòa
These neighborhoods deserve attention if you are moving to Nha Trang for work rather than a holiday.
Vinh Diem Trung has newer urban developments, shopping facilities and residential streets. Phuoc Hai and Ha Quang also offer apartments and houses connected to local services.
You will generally be less dependent on the tourist center for basic errands.
For someone commuting to work, living nearer the workplace may save more money and time than finding a cheaper apartment on the opposite side of the city.
Families should also compare access to schools, clinics and childcare.
A VND 1 million monthly saving on rent means little if everyone in the household spends much longer traveling each day.
Phuoc Long and southern Nha Trang
Additional housing choices
The southern residential areas have a mixture of small apartment buildings, modern developments and individual houses.
One 2026 offer was a furnished 40 m² one-bedroom apartment near To Hieu for VND 7 million per month.
Its stated terms included a one-month deposit, monthly rent payments and a six-to-twelve-month contract. The listing also mentioned electricity at VND 4,500 per kWh, water at VND 120,000 per person and a VND 200,000 room service fee.
That example shows why tenants need to read past the headline rent.
For a longer stay, southern residential areas can be attractive if you value privacy or want a house rather than a tourist apartment.
Check drainage, moisture, parking and the condition of the building carefully, especially if you are considering a ground-floor property.
Food and grocery costs
A single person might set aside around VND 3-8 million or more per month for food, depending on how frequently they cook and what kinds of restaurants they visit.
This is a planning range. There is no one food budget that represents everyone living in Nha Trang.
The city offers local markets, noodle shops, seafood restaurants, supermarkets and international dining.
A permanent resident's eating habits will usually look quite different from a tourist's.
Eating local food
Bun cha ca, a local fish-cake noodle soup, is a practical breakfast option. A simple bowl at a modest restaurant can be around VND 35,000-45,000, although you should always check the posted menu.

Photo: MIA.vn
Banh can and banh mi are other everyday choices.
An inexpensive restaurant meal averages approximately VND 70,000 in crowdsourced data, with a broad range of user-reported prices.
That does not mean every bowl of noodles costs VND 70,000. The category includes different meals and restaurants.
Spending VND 120,000 per day on food adds up to VND 3.6 million over 30 days.
Spending VND 180,000 per day raises the total to VND 5.4 million.
Coffee can quietly become another substantial expense. A regular cappuccino averages approximately VND 43,000. Twenty such coffees would cost roughly VND 860,000 in a month.
You may spend less at simple Vietnamese coffee shops or more at specialist cafés.
Cooking at home
Having a real kitchen changes your monthly costs.
Look for an apartment with a usable cooking area, refrigerator and enough space for basic food storage.
Local markets such as Dam Market and Xom Moi Market are useful reference points in central Nha Trang. Residential neighborhoods have their own markets and food shops, which may be more convenient if you live farther out.

Photo: Christophe95
One possible VND 4 million food budget is VND 2 million for groceries, VND 1.5 million for restaurant meals and VND 500,000 for coffee, fruit and occasional extras.
Diets differ, so treat that as a starting plan.
Seafood deserves its own allowance if you eat it regularly. Fresh seafood restaurant bills depend on the species, weight and preparation method, and can rise quickly when several dishes are ordered.
For someone moving to Vietnam from abroad, imported groceries, cheese, specialist food and familiar Western products may also push costs above a local-food budget.
Electricity, water and household bills
Electricity
One detail matters particularly in November 2026: Vietnam introduced a new five-tier residential electricity tariff effective November 1, 2026.
| Monthly residential consumption | Rate per kWh |
|---|---|
| First 100 kWh | VND 1,901 |
| 101-200 kWh | VND 2,289 |
| 201-400 kWh | VND 2,894 |
| 401-700 kWh | VND 3,456 |
| Above 700 kWh | VND 3,844 |
Rates exclude VAT and apply under the relevant residential electricity billing conditions.
Under this tariff, 250 kWh of monthly household electricity would cost VND 563,700 before VAT. At 400 kWh, the calculation becomes VND 997,800 before VAT.
These calculations do not automatically equal the amount charged to every apartment tenant.
Air conditioning will often be a major part of your electricity use.
If you work from home all day and cool the apartment for long periods, your electricity bill may be considerably higher than that of someone who is out most of the day.
Water and management fees
A small apartment might reserve VND 100,000-300,000 per month for water, then adjust the estimate once actual billing details are available.
Some serviced apartments charge a flat amount per resident. Others have individual water meters.
There may also be charges for waste collection, cleaning, motorbike parking or building management.
Khanh Hoa's water supplier implemented an environmental protection fee for applicable domestic wastewater accounts from January 2026, calculated at 10% of the water sale price before VAT for the relevant customers.
Before signing, request a breakdown of all recurring housing charges.
Comparing apartments is much easier once you know the true monthly housing total, not just the rent.
Home internet and mobile data
Vietnam has relatively affordable home broadband.
FPT's Giga 300 Mbps residential package starts from VND 195,000 per month, with prices and conditions varying by location.
MobiFone's KC150 mobile package costs VND 150,000 for a 30-day cycle, offering 2 GB of data per day along with eligible calling benefits.
For a typical home connection and one mobile plan, VND 350,000-500,000 per month is a reasonable planning allowance, excluding any one-off installation fees.
Remote workers should test the actual connection inside the apartment.
Run a video call, check upload performance and see whether mobile data works well enough as a backup. A high-speed package on paper is no substitute for testing the service where you will work.
Getting around Nha Trang
Transport costs depend heavily on where you choose to live.
If you rent centrally and work from home, walking can cover many errands. A more distant residential neighborhood may make a motorbike or regular ride-hailing trips more useful.
Using your own motorbike
Owning a motorbike still means budgeting for gas, parking and maintenance.
The amount will depend on your commute and how often you travel across the city.
Renting a scooter monthly
A standard 30-day automatic scooter rental at Bike Nha Trang costs VND 2.5 million in 2026.
This is significantly more than the transport allowance in the budget scenario at the beginning of the article. Renting a scooter every month means raising your budget accordingly.
Longer-term arrangements from different providers may have different prices, vehicle conditions and deposit requirements.
Make sure you have the appropriate legally recognized driving entitlement before using a motorbike in Vietnam. Do not assume a foreign driving license automatically authorizes you to ride.
Taxis, ride-hailing and buses
For people who do not drive, taxis and app-based transport are useful for shopping, appointments and occasional longer journeys.
Frequent short trips can nevertheless become expensive over a month.
Local buses are another option if the route fits your daily journey. A local transport ticket costs approximately VND 8,000, but actual route fares and service schedules should be checked.

Photo: VinBus
Retirees may find it more practical to live within walking distance of a supermarket, pharmacy and clinic and skip daily transport altogether.
Once travel costs are included, the cheapest rental can turn out to be the more expensive location.
Gym memberships, swimming and coworking
One of Nha Trang's attractions is the opportunity for regular outdoor exercise.
Walking along the waterfront, running in the morning and using public spaces can form part of your routine without a monthly membership fee.
An average gym membership costs approximately VND 572,000 per month.
Smaller local gyms may be cheaper.
For example, CLB The Hinh - Gym Nha Trang at 102 Bac Son charges around VND 250,000 per month in 2026 for a basic gym membership and approximately VND 320,000 with cardio facilities.
A single visit costs approximately VND 40,000.
Prices and opening times should be confirmed at reception before buying a longer membership.
Swimmers can try the Yet Kieu swimming center at 10 Yersin. If your apartment building has a pool, ask whether long-term tenants have access and whether any extra fee applies.
Is a coworking space necessary?
Working from a good apartment may be enough if you have a dedicated desk, stable internet and relatively few calls.
A coworking membership becomes more useful when your apartment is small, you need meeting space or you prefer a separate working environment.
Stockholm Co-working, at 43 Ly Tu Trong, charges VND 100,000 for a four-hour pass, VND 150,000 for a full day and VND 2.7 million for a monthly hot-desk membership.
A full-day pass covers 7 am to 11 pm.
Expect to use coworking regularly? Add that cost separately, because an ordinary café budget won't cover it.
Someone earning income from remote work may reasonably prefer a quieter apartment farther from the beach if the saving pays for a good coworking desk.
Healthcare and health insurance
Healthcare deserves its own section because the costs vary greatly between Vietnamese residents, foreign remote workers and retirees.
A relatively small monthly budget can cover routine expenses for some people. It may be entirely inadequate for someone who needs comprehensive private insurance or regular specialist care.
Vietnamese residents
From July 1, 2026, Vietnam's statutory base salary increased to VND 2.53 million per month.
The household health insurance contribution for the first eligible member is VND 113,850 per month, or VND 1,366,200 per year, under the applicable reference calculation.
Other household members may qualify for reduced contributions, subject to the rules.
People already covered through employment or another insurance category should check their applicable arrangements rather than assuming they need a separate household policy.
Public health insurance also does not eliminate every medical cost. Medication, dental care, non-covered services and personal healthcare spending should still be considered.
Foreign remote workers and retirees
Foreign nationals should not assume they are automatically eligible for Vietnam's household health insurance scheme.
The household scheme currently provides no legal basis for foreign nationals to join merely because they reside in Vietnam.
Different rules may apply to foreign employees who fall within mandatory insurance arrangements.
Remote workers and retirees should therefore verify suitable private or international insurance coverage.
SafetyWing provides a useful example of how premiums vary by product.
Its Nomad Insurance Essential plan costs US$62.72 every four weeks for eligible members aged 10-39. Its Complete plan starts from US$177.50 per month for ages 18-39.
These are the provider's starting prices; individual quotes depend on your profile.
The Essential product is designed primarily for emergency medical situations during travel and is not a comprehensive replacement for regular health coverage. Complete provides a broader health insurance structure.
Premiums rise with age, and eligibility, exclusions and benefits need to be checked before purchasing.
For retirees, the location of a suitable clinic or hospital may be just as important as the price of an apartment.
Do not choose insurance solely because the initial premium is low. Consider inpatient care, existing medical conditions, ongoing medication and whether the provider can support treatment in Vietnam.
Three realistic ways to plan your move
A remote worker moving from abroad
Around VND 18-22 million a month, plus international insurance
Most remote workers should choose the apartment around the workday.
A proper desk, reliable internet and reasonable noise levels matter more than a spectacular balcony.
Central Nha Trang makes the first few weeks easier while you learn the city. Northern Nha Trang suits people who want regular beach access.
Phuoc Hai or Vinh Diem Trung may be better once you know your preferred routine and want more living space for the same rental budget.
A monthly budget of VND 18-22 million can be a practical mid-range starting point, provided you separately account for any international insurance premium not covered by the budget allowance.
Coworking memberships, international flights, residence-related expenses and taxes also require separate calculations.
Avoid committing to a twelve-month lease before you know whether the apartment works well during a full working week.
A Vietnamese professional relocating to Nha Trang
Around VND 12-18 million a month for one person
If you are moving for a local job, begin with the workplace.
Find the likely commute, then compare apartments in Phuoc Hai, Vinh Diem Trung, Phuoc Long and any other area that provides a practical route.
An individual budget of approximately VND 12-18 million per month can offer several possibilities if rent remains controlled.
However, moving costs are separate from monthly living costs.
Transporting furniture, purchasing household items, setting up utilities and paying a rental deposit all require money upfront.
A job with frequent travel puts access to major roads ahead of proximity to the beach.
For families, schools and childcare can make one neighborhood much more convenient than another.
A retiree spending several months in Nha Trang
Lifts, pharmacies and healthcare before sea views
Retirees may value a different set of features.
A safe, accessible apartment with a lift, nearby shops and good access to healthcare is often more useful than a large apartment in a tourist tower.
Consider whether the building entrance has steps, whether the lift is reliable and how easy it is to get a taxi when needed.
Look for pharmacies, grocery shops and places to walk comfortably.
Nha Trang offers many opportunities to spend time outdoors, but retirees should also consider the hottest months and the rainy season.
Anyone requiring regular treatment should investigate suitable medical facilities before committing to a long stay.
For a three-to-six-month visit, a furnished apartment may be easier than setting up an unfurnished property, even if the rent is slightly higher.
Cost of living in Nha Trang vs Da Nang
Nha Trang and Da Nang are both coastal cities, but the financial and practical differences depend on what you need.
On the available crowdsourced data, Nha Trang has an advantage for some apartment rents.
Here are the 2026 crowdsourced averages for both cities.
| Monthly cost or item | Nha Trang | Da Nang |
|---|---|---|
| One-bedroom apartment, city center | VND 10.5 million | VND 14.3 million |
| One-bedroom apartment, outside center | VND 7.1 million | VND 9.2 million |
| Inexpensive restaurant meal | VND 70,000 | VND 60,000 |
| Monthly fitness membership | VND 572,000 | VND 710,000 |
| Home internet, crowdsourced average | VND 242,500 | VND 238,300 |
These are approximate user-contributed figures. They are not matched quotations from identical apartments or service providers, and sample sizes differ between cities.
The comparison suggests that Nha Trang may save you money on rent, while Da Nang can be cheaper for certain restaurant meals and other individual expenses.
There is no reliable basis for saying every category is cheaper in one city.
Why choose Nha Trang?
Nha Trang suits people who want a relatively compact coastal city, regular access to the waterfront and a choice between tourist districts and residential neighborhoods.
It can work particularly well for someone with remote income or a job already arranged locally.
Its size and layout make daily beach visits easy.
Why choose Da Nang?
Da Nang may be more suitable if you want a wider range of employment opportunities, professional networks, education options and urban services.
It is also well placed for travel around central Vietnam.
For some households, those practical advantages may outweigh the higher rent suggested by the comparative data.
How to make the decision
Compare three actual apartments in each city with similar sizes, lease lengths and facilities.
Then check transport costs, schools if relevant, internet, healthcare and your preferred daily activities.
A difference of VND 2 million in monthly rent amounts to VND 24 million over a year.
That matters, but it should not determine your decision if one city fits your working and family needs much better.
How to rent an apartment in Nha Trang for several months
A long-term lease needs more attention than booking a hotel room.
The aim is to know exactly what you will pay, what you are allowed to do in the apartment and what happens when you leave.
- Step 1
Set a maximum housing budget
Begin with your total monthly budget and work backwards.
On VND 18 million a month, apartments around VND 7-9 million leave room for food, utilities, transport and other expenses.
Do not start with an attractive VND 12 million apartment and assume all other spending will somehow fit.
Choose the apartment type, number of bedrooms and minimum lease period before contacting landlords.
Remote workers should also specify whether they need a separate desk, kitchen and washing machine.
- Step 2
Compare at least three similar apartments
A meaningful comparison requires similar conditions.
Compare three furnished one-bedroom apartments, for example, rather than a bare studio, a serviced hotel unit and a two-bedroom property.
Record the monthly rent alongside electricity, water, management charges, parking, internet and cleaning fees.
Ask which charges are compulsory and which are optional.
A cheap rent can come with higher utility charges or additional service fees.
- Step 3
Inspect the apartment properly
Check the air conditioner, water heater, shower, refrigerator, locks and washing machine.
Look for water damage, moisture and mold. Test the kitchen equipment.
If the apartment is on a high floor, ask about lifts and backup electricity.
For a ground-floor home, ask about drainage and any history of water entering the property during heavy rain.
Walk outside and check the surrounding streets.
You should know where you will buy food, how you will get home after dark and whether traffic noise reaches the bedroom.
Test the internet inside the room where your desk will be.
- Step 4
Understand the deposit and contract
There is no single deposit amount that applies to every rental.
Some landlords ask for one month's rent as a deposit with monthly payments, while others may negotiate different terms.
Your contract should identify the landlord and tenant, the property, the rent, payment dates, deposit, lease period, charges and responsibilities for repairs.
It should also explain the conditions for ending the agreement and receiving the deposit back.
Confirm that the person renting the property to you has the authority to do so.
If an agent is involved, establish who receives the money and who is responsible for the lease.
Before moving in, photograph the apartment and record the condition of its furnishings and appliances.
- Step 5
Confirm your right to occupy the property
Ask about pets, guests, parking, cooking facilities and any building restrictions.
For foreign residents, confirm that the accommodation can support the applicable temporary residence reporting requirements.
Is Nha Trang a good place to live?
Nha Trang is worth considering if you want access to the sea, a manageable urban environment and the ability to build a relatively simple daily routine.
People with an established income can keep housing costs reasonable by choosing a residential neighborhood.
Retirees may be drawn by morning walks, local food and essential services within easy reach.
Vietnamese professionals who already have work and family arrangements in place may find it a practical city to settle in.
However, ordinary life matters as much as the beach.
The rainy season generally falls between September and December. Heavy rain can affect roads and low-lying areas, so drainage and the route to your home matter.

Photo: Bún bòa
In the hotter months, frequent air conditioning may raise electricity costs.
A permanent move also introduces practical issues that do not exist during a holiday: healthcare, taxes, paperwork, work arrangements and sometimes schooling.
There is no need to make the decision from photographs alone.
Try the city before committing
If you have never spent more than a couple of weeks in Nha Trang, consider a trial stay of one to four weeks.
You can use that time to compare neighborhoods, test your preferred commute, buy groceries locally and see how the apartment feels during ordinary working days.
Observe the area in the evening as well as the morning.
Try spending time in both central Nha Trang and a quieter residential district. You may discover that your favorite beach location is not your favorite place to live.
A short trial rental may cost more per month than an annual contract, but it can prevent a much more expensive mistake.
How much money do you need before moving?
Your first month's financial requirement will usually be higher than your normal monthly expenses.
Suppose you choose an apartment costing VND 8 million a month and the landlord asks for one month's deposit plus the first month's rent.
You would need VND 16 million for the initial housing payment alone.
You may also need money for travel, furniture or household items, utility setup and daily expenses.
The VND 18.5 million mid-range example covers regular living expenses only; your available cash also has to cover the deposit and other initial costs.
A deposit may be refundable under the lease. However, it is money you cannot use while it is being held.
Anyone moving without a secure income should also maintain a separate financial buffer for several months of essential spending.
Open a map of Nha Trang and shortlist one apartment each in Vinh Phuoc or Vinh Hai, Phuoc Hai or Vinh Diem Trung, and central Loc Tho. Put their rents, utility charges, deposits and lease terms into one comparison table before arranging viewings.
FAQ
How much does it cost to live in Nha Trang for one month?
A single person can plan around VND 10-13 million for a budget lifestyle, VND 16-22 million for a mid-range lifestyle or VND 27-38 million for more comfortable accommodation and regular paid services. International insurance, flights and other special expenses may require additional funds.
Is Nha Trang cheaper than Da Nang?
Crowdsourced averages show that one-bedroom apartment rents are lower in Nha Trang, while some restaurant meals and other items can be cheaper in Da Nang. Your actual expenses depend on the neighborhood, apartment and daily routine.
Where should I rent an apartment in Nha Trang for a long stay?
Loc Tho is convenient for walking, restaurants and the main beach. Vinh Phuoc and Vinh Hai offer options in northern Nha Trang. Phuoc Hai, Vinh Diem Trung, Ha Quang and Phuoc Long are worth considering for more residential surroundings and long-term daily routines.
Can foreigners rent apartments in Nha Trang for several months?
Foreigners can look for monthly and long-term rentals, subject to the relevant property and legal requirements. They must also check their immigration status, lawful period of stay and applicable temporary residence reporting. A lease agreement does not replace a valid visa or residence permission.
Is VND 15 million per month enough to live in Nha Trang?
It can be sufficient for one person who rents a modest apartment, cooks regularly and manages transport costs. It becomes less practical if you want premium beachfront accommodation, a full-month scooter rental, expensive international insurance and frequent restaurant meals.
